      Actually, if you sign up, you do get 15-20% off coupons from them.  Depending on what you are looking for, the price may be cheaper than Amazon's price. 

      But this always comes down to, what is a local bookseller worth to a person?  Whether it is a big chain or a ma & pa, what is a bookstore worth to you?  Add to that, what is a decent public library worth to you?
