I'm afraid I found the new series a little slow.  I liked the new Doctor herself, but the series seemed mostly to be a bit of a gentle walk in the park while having a chat.    Watching with the kids screaming when 'mild peril' appeared did enhance the viewing experience though!

I'm hoping a few more stops come out with the New Year's Day special.

Don't you lose part of double page spreads when things are bound?
From that sort of stable I have the few issues of Scream which were produced.  Not the specials though. And then Eagle for a while which it merged into.

Avengers.  Can't say I've had an urge for a long while.  New Avengers will be getting a watch again at some point.

Have you been watching me on roofs?  Pic attached for those not looking..!

Glad to hear you’re still Who-ing! Series 11 went down well in our house as well.

Been binging on The Avengers recently (not the Marvel version). Nearly finished the Cathy Gale era and soon to start on the Blu-Rays. The Big Finish versions of Series One helped me get into them. I was definitely prompted into doing this by the spin-off version of this group!

I’ve also been buying up on eBay old UK Comics and having sets bound. 2000AD led into the eighties Eagle, then Action, then Warrior. Just completed a set of Misty which is now ready for binding. If anyone out there has a spare copy of Wildcat issue 5 and the Winter Special, give us a shout.

Summer was spent having our loft converted with lots of people standing on our roof, which reminded me of you, Ian!

Looking forward to the A3 TV comics.

Hello!   Its been a while.   I suddenly had an urge today to see if anyone is still listening, and possible say hello to some of the members here who I've not spoken with in a long time.

I've finished work today and am looking forward to doing not too much over the next week and a bit. Maybe just some jobs round the house now and again.

General news..  Kids are 9 and 6 now.  For the first time this year we all sat together to watch the new series of Doctor Who on telly.   It was great seeing the kids hiding behind cushions and screaming now and again!

Following this, we've been watching a lot of other post-2005 Who.  Mainly Tennant.   Been really enjoying those.     I've also started buying Thomas some Character Options DW figures.   I do have fair few myself, but they're still nicely packaged and minty!   So I've been mainly buying bundles of 'used' figures for him (and me!) to play with.    I've bought him the 11 Doctors box set for Christmas.  Surprisingly it was still the same price as when it came out (About £50).  Sounds a lot, but its a cheap way to buy most of the Doctors and all have their sonics, etc.  'Used' figures tend to have 'lost' them somewhere in time and to buy a replacement can cost more than the figure was new!

I only found out the other day that they also did a '13 Doctors set' a couple of years ago.  But this was a limited edition and expensive then and even more so now. (13 as it included the War Doctor.)

Thomas has been drawing pictures of the Tardis.  He's also written to Santa asking for a 'Real Tardis'.  And keeps telling me that he will be getting it because he's asked Santa.

A few weeks ago we did go to Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings nearish to Birmingham.  They have a Kiosk Museum there which includes a Scottish style 'Metropolitan' Police Box.   You can go inside when the attendant is there.  Plus all the telephone kiosks have working phones and you can phone one from another.  Kids were dialing away for hours!    The light on the top of the Police Box flashes too when the phone rings.  We were all amazed at that!  I'll try to attach a pic.

In other news.  This last two to three years my interest in Marvel comics has resurfaced.  Recently been reading through Amazing Spider-Man.  Surprising how good the older comics can be.

Doctor Who TV Comics.   The next 'book' planned isn't a book. It will hopefully be a recreation of a folded Mighty TV Comic.  This is so that the A3 strips can be done without the centre disappearing into the gutter. Unfortunately cleaning the colour Troughtons is a painful job and I've had to have a rest for a while from cleaning.

As I wont be doing too much over the hols, I'll pop in here now and again.. just in case.

Have Fun and a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

    Til next time.
