The Queen and Her Pirate banquet event in Oakland Sat Feb 24
- The Queen and her Pirate
Saturday, February 24th, 2007
7:00pm to Midnight
The Sequoia Lodge, Oakland, CA
Hosted by the Greater Bay Area Costumer's Guild
Join Queen Elizabeth I as she hosts a farewell banquet for the
infamous female Irish Pirate, Grace O'Malley, at a Greenwich tavern
called The Bearded Mermaid. There will a fabulous feast,
entertainments, music, and much toasting and intrigues throughout
This looks like it'll be a really fun event, and is the same
location where the GBACG held their LOTR feast a couple of years
ago, which was a great hit, and remains the talk of the town. It's
a beautiful location in a wooded area, and really feels rustic, with
all the comforts of home.
Costumes are required for this event, any time during the reign of
Elizabeth (1558-1603). You'll see folks attending in Ren Faire
garb, and very likely POTC as well. It is likely to sell out
quickly, so order your tickets early.
I am not involved with the organizers of this event, just thought
you folks might really enjoy it. I already have my tickets!
Sorry for any cross-postings.
