      contrasting or complementary color? All you would have to do is slash a nice
      straight line from just outside the collarbone line down to the waist, front and
      back, and stitch the lace in. One other period look might be to use fagoting,
      but that might take forever to do...Also, if you don't want to use lace you
      could use the same fabric (contrasting or same color) as a small striped
      insert. Good luck! I know the dress can be saved!
