Group Description

Texas Parents as Partners in Education is a sympathetic forum for parents and interested citizens. We discuss education issues at the national, state, and local levels. Our concerns include the impact of school-to-work, diminishing parental rights, teaching methods, grading policies, advocating for Core Knowledge schools, textbook selection, and pending legislation to name a few issues. Teachers, school board trustees, and policymakers are welcome to join parents in these discussions, or simply to listen in and learn of our concerns. All subscribers may submit questions and comments to the loop, and post relevant newsletters and updates.

At this time, the list will be not be moderated. However, if necessary, the list will be moderated by Susan Sarhady (ssarhady@verizon.net), President of the Plano Parental Rights Council (http://www.planoprc.org).
