      CAMERON—Funeral services for Walter Edward Coufal, 81, of the Maysfield
      community, were held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 1999 at
      Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Gene Van Noord officiating.
      Burial followed in Chriesman Chapel Cemetery near Deanville.
      Mr. Coufal died Monday, June 14, 1999 in his home.
      He was born June 4, 1918 to Walter Frank Coufal and Albina Emma Matejka in
      Cooks Point in Burleson County. He married Annie Myrtle Plantt on Nov. 12,
      1939. Mr. Coufal was a retired master plumber and a rancher. He was a member
      of the Cameron Church of Christ and the Bryan SPJST. He was preceded in death
      by a sister, Dorothy Morgan.
      Survivors include his wife, Annie Myrtle Coufal of Maysfield; two sons,
      Sidney Ray Coufal of Nacogdoches and Larry G. Coufal of Cameron; two
      daughters, Kathryn Kim Coufal Fikes of Temple and Debra Kay Coufal Warren of
      Maysfield; two brothers, Willie C. Coufal of Springtown and Leroy L. Coufal
      of Nixon; three sisters, Lillie C. Jones and Gladys C. Marsh, both of Bryan,
      and Josephine C. Mann of Ralls.
      Memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.
