Evelyn Pauline Lefner Biehle, 82, of Thorndale, began her eternal life on Monday, Dec. 23.
She was born in the Hoxie Community on June 16, 1931 to Antone and Annie Kuban Lefner. Raised in Taylor, she graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School in 1949.
In 1950, she married Edward “Dutch” Biehle and soon moved to the Thorndale area where they raised five children. As a homemaker, Evelyn was well known for her cooking, especially baking kolaches. She enjoyed dancing and spoke of how she would soon be able to do so again.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Dutch, a brother, Tony Lefner, daughter, Linda Biehle and son, Larry Biehle.
Those left behind are grateful as she was able to maintain her quick wit and no-nonsense attitude until the very end. Evelyn will forever be missed by her brother, William Lefner of Taylor, sons Tommy Biehle and wife, Judy, of Georgetown and Barry Biehle and wife, Debbie, of Thorndale; daughter Wendy Spiry and husband, Allen, of Arlington; seven grandchildren, Michele Lafferty and husband, Quinn, Terri Cervenka and husband, Jason, Ruth Biehle, Jennifer Biehle, Edward Biehle and wife, Michelle, Mason Tenery and Garrett Spiry; and six great-grandchildren, Makayla Lafferty, Carson and Cameron Cervenka, Jacob Biehle, Micka and Lyla Sanchez.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at Condra Funeral home in Taylor.
