      A funeral mass for August Antone Morris, 84, of Rosenberg, will be held at 10:00 A. M., Thursday,

      March 24, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg with Father William D. Bartniski

      officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from

      4:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M., with a rosary being recited at 7:15 P. M., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at

      Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. 


      August was born May 2, 1926 in East Bernard to Ignatius Morris and Hermina Kopecky Morris.  He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific and was awarded the    Distinguished Flying Cross Medal.  He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Rosenberg. He passed away March 19, 2011 in Richmond.
       
      August is preceded in death by his wife, Annie Belle McCain Morris; his parents, Ignatius and Hermina
          Morris; and many siblings.

       

      He is survived by his children, John A. Morris and wife, Kathy, Hedy Bryan and husband, Phillip and       David W. Morris and wife, Kelly; grandchildren, John Bryan and wife, Christine, Mark Bryan and wife,      Cara, Austin Morris, Amber Morris and Thomas, Brenna, James and Cody Bryan; brother, W. R. Morris; along with other relatives and many friends.

       

      Pallbearers will include John Bryan, Mark Bryan, Austin Morris, Dale McCain, Steve Andel and Ronnie

      Sturrock.  Honorary pallbearers will include Charlie Kopecky, Mark Kopecky and Jimmy Kopecky.

      In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of August to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416
          George Street, Rosenberg, Texas, 77471.
