Funeral services for Anton Janacek, 65, native of Ammannsville, whose death occurred in Moore, Oklahoma Sunday, March 2, were held Monday in Oklahoma, where he had resided for the past 35 years.

Mr. Janacek formerly operated a blacksmith shop and hardware store at Ammannsville.  He left this area later and worked at El Campo and still later in the railroad shops at Victoria.  He eventually moved to Oklahoma and had spent the past 35 years in that state.

He is survived by his wife, three brothers, Frank Janacek of Hostyn, Cyril Janacek of Schulenburg, and Joe Janacek of Weimar; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Lebeda and Mrs. Anton Pytlovany, both of Weimar.

Raymond Janacek of Weimar, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Janacek, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Janacek of La Grange attended the final rites held in Michak, Oklahoma Wednesday, March 5, at 9 a.m.

The deceased was a native of Czechoslovakia, where he was born in 1876.  Along with his parents, he moved to this country in 1883, the family settling at Hostyn, Texas, and later at Ammannsville.  For the past 40 years, he had lived in Oklahoma.
