Dies in Prime of His Life

Wednesday into the blessed ground of the ancient St. Mary's cemetery were buried the remains of Lawrence Klekar who died Tuesday in the prime of his life, being only 26 years of age and following shortly after his father, who preceded him a few months ago only.  Evidently in the best of his health, some time ago the young man developed tuberculosis.  First he refused to believe the diagnosis and advice of his physician, so convinced he was of his strength, until it was too late to help.  He gave up his partnership in the Picha & Klekar gasoline station by the bridge some time ago, hoping the complete rest would save him.  But in vain.  His end came Tuesday afternoon.  The funeral services were held from
the St. Mary's church Wednesday morning, Rev. Fathers Kolodzie and Kuratko officiating.  Lawrence was born June 3, 1907.  His mother died several years ago, and father died this year.  He leaves two brothers -- Mathew and Godfrey, both of this city; sisters -- Mrs.
Sophie Kuratko of Smithville, Mrs. Otilie Rengler of Houston, and Miss Elizabeth of San Antonio. -- R. I. P.
