      BALLINGER – Joseph Janicata, 75, was found dead about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at his home in Rowena.

       

      A physician said a heart attack was the cause of death, and estimated time of death was about 1 p.m.

       

      Funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Newby-Davis Chapel here with the Rev. Andrew Marthaler, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena, officiating.

       

      Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rowena.

       

      Mr. Janicata was born Dec. 11, 1884 in CzechoSlovakia and came to the United States in 1905, settling at Rowena.  He was a retired blacksmith.

       

      Surviving are his wife; one son, Eddie of San Angelo; one daughter, Mrs. R. (?) C. Smith of San Angelo; two brothers, Charlie Janicata of Czechoslovakia and John Janicata of Kansas; one sister Mrs. M. Filgas of Czechoslovakia; and two grandchildren.

       

      Pallbearers will be A. A. Fisher, C. F. Marek, Charles Matschek, Elmer Kvapil, J. F. Shiller and Alfred Ruppert.
