      Funeral services for Edward Joseph Moy, 72, of West Columbia, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, 1997, at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in West Columbia with Father John Connolly and Father Peter Mastrobuono officiating.  Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Haven of Rest in West Columbia.

       

      He passed away Sunday, August 17, 1997, at Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Lake Jackson.

       

      Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today at Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia.  A Rosary will be recited today at 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home Chapel.

       

      Mr. Moy was a 25-year resident of West Columbia.  He was a member of St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in West Columbia; sons, Edward Theodore Moy of Webster and Gerard Moy of Plano; daughters, Sherry Ann Moreno of Lake Jackson, Celine Eloise Mathews of Angleton, Jacqueline Lee Moy of Houston and Mary Beth Moy of West Columbia; brothers, Sam P. Moy and Chris Kotara, both of Poth, Texas; sisters, Cela Jansky and Frances Kvapil, both of San Antonio; granddaughter, Annika Nicole Moreno of Lake Jackson; 15 nieces;  and 10 nephews.

       

      Pallbearers will be Jimmy (James) McGee, Larry McGee, Robert Urbanczyk, Tommy Urbanczyk, Edgar Kvapil, Larry Baca, Johnny Baca, Edward J. Baca and George Baca.  Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Hardcastle, Mitchell Finley, Archie Schechinski and Neva White.

       

      Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association/Stroke Research.
