EL CAMPO – Wilbur R. Janak, 46, of El Campo, died suddenly from an apparent heart attack at his residence early Thursday morning.
An oil company employee and a resident of El Campo for the past 22 years, Mr. Janak was born Sept. 18, 1932, in Sweet Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip’s Catholic Church with the Rev. James Brunner officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories. The body will lie in state at Triska Funeral Home until 9 a.m. Saturday at which time it will be taken to the church for services. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Joyce Janak; a daughter, Regina janak, and three sons, Rodney, Ray and Rob Janak, all of El Campo; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Janak of Hallettsville; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Jares of Hallettsville and Mrs. Gertrude Matusek of Pearland; three brothers, Harvey Janak of Hallettsville, Robert Janak of Yoakum and Daniel Janak of Flatonia, and a grandchild.
