      Funeral services for Mabel Miller Sebesta, 88, of Rosenberg will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg with Rev. George Kuebler officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. Р7:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2013 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.

       

      Mabel was born on May 8, 1925 in Moulton, Texas to Gus and Bertha (Seibert) Krueger. Through her membership at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Rosenberg, Mabel was involved in the Mature Adults Group. She was a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Sons of Hermann. She enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing and doing various crafts like sewing and crocheting. More than anything, Mabel loved spending time with her family and watching as the generations grew. She looked forward to visits from her great-grandchildren while she resided at Cambridge. Mabel went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2013 in Richmond, Texas.

       

      Mabel is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph “Joe” Miller; second husband, Lawrence Sebesta; her parents, Gus and Bertha Krueger; and siblings, Elsie Horelica, Della Beck, Norma Walcik and Erwin Krueger.

       

      She is survived by her daughters, Melba Miller Ashley and husband, Jimmie, and Lynette Harbes and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Kristin Evans and husband, Scott, Cody Ashley and wife, Tonya, Dawn Johnston and husband, Shane; Shawn Thielemann and husband, David; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Riley Evans, Colton Ashley, Kayle Green and fiancé, Kyle Bronikowsky; Briana Green, Rockie and Ryan Thielemann; great-great grandson, Kegan Bronikowsky; sister-in-law, Angie Krueger; along with numerous other family members and friends.

       

      For those wishing, memorial donations may be made in Mabel’s name to St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1513 West Street, Rosenberg, Texas 77471 or to the charity of your choice.
