obit: Annie Spurr Hubenak
Annie Spurr Hubenak of El Campo died July 21, 2013 at the age of 74.
She was born February 20, 1939 to the late Paul and Agnes Roznovsky Spurr. She was a seamstress at IC Manufacturing for 35 years before retiring, and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court #1374, KJZT, DAV Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and was very active in the St. Philip Prayer Blanket Ministry.
She is survived by her daughters Kay Ratcliff and husband Randy, Sandra Oates, Mary Berberich and husband Brick, Carol Drapela and husband Ned, Jr., all of El Campo and Monica Perez and husband Jimmie of Victoria; son Jay Hubenak and wife Kaye of El Campo; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lee Ray Hubenak, son Timothy Hubenak, and son-in-law Tracy Oates.
Visitation will be 1 pm – 4 pm Tuesday at Triska Funeral Home and 5 pm – 7 pm at St. Philip Catholic Church with a CDA Rosary being recited at 6 pm. The Funeral Mass will be 10 am Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at St. Philip Catholic Church with Reverend Albert Yankey officiating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
Serving as pallbearers are Trey Wilson, Lee Drapela, Reid Hubenak, Greg Leopold, Jim Smith, Philip Macias and Chris Thayer. Honorary Bearers are Tara Ratcliff, Crystal Smith, Amy Witcher, Brittney Oates, Sherri Macias, Ashley Arrambide, Bobbi Owens, Amanda Leopold and Lea Drapela.
Donations in memory of Annie M. Hubenak may be made to St. Philip Church or St. Philip Prayer Blanket Ministry.
