Andrew Greinert, 86, of Taylor, died Thursday July 18, 2013.

He was born to the late Frank Sr. and Clara (Stoll) Greinert, January 26, 1927, in Coupland Texas. Andrew attended school in Coupland and completed through 10th grade because he learned all the skills he needed to start farming and ranching. Later in life, he married his true love, Dolores Danek, on June 19, 1984.

Andrew was a farmer and rancher up until recent weeks when his health started to fail. He had previously served as President of the Texas Cattleman's Assn. and President of the SPJST Lodge 18 in Elgin.

Andrew was an active member of the St Paul's Lutheran Church in Taylor. He loved his farm and taking care of all of his animals. He also loved polka music and enjoyed many years of dancing with his wife Dolores and made many friends dancing, as well as befriending members of the polka bands he loved.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Dolores; stepson Jayson Danek and wife Debbie of Manchaca; stepdaughter Denise Danek Girard of Hermosa Beach California; brother Frank Jr. and wife Pat of Austin; sister Delphine Slivensky of Taylor; and 6 nephews John, David, Alan, Jeff, Randy and Stephen and their families.

A viewing will be held from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday July 23rd, 2013 at the Condra Funeral Home in Taylor.  Funeral service will be held at 10 am Wednesday July 24th, 2013 at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Taylor.
