      Mrs. Lydia R. Raven, 61, died at her home, 610 Avenue D, Tuesday morning after a sudden illness.

       

      Mrs. Raven was born May 5, 1918 in Shiner to the late Joe and Frances Mikeska Elsik, but was a resident of Victoria since 1929.  She was a dietician employed by Citizens Memorial Hospital and was a member of Downtown Church of Christ.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Foy L. Raven in 1978.

       

      Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Dwayne Wheeler, pastor of Downtown Church of Christ, officiating.

       

      Burial will be in Crescent Valley Cemetery.

       

      She is survived by two step-sons, Bobby Raven of Tivoli and Jimmy Raven of San Antonio; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Doris Einkauf of San Antonio; five sisters, Mrs. Loyd Fleeman, Miss Marie Elsik and Miss Dorothy Elsik, all of Victoria, Mrs. F. C. Malina of Shiner and Mrs. Ben Laza of Mereta, Texas; and three brothers, Joe T. Elsik of Houston, George Elsik of Corpus Christi and Daniel Elsik of Victoria.
