      Funeral services for Mrs. Kristina Stary, a longtime resident of Victoria who died late Wednesday in a local hospital of a long illness, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

       

      She was 80.  Mrs. Stary, of 3301 Mockingbird Lane, came to Victoria in 1913.  She was a former resident of Moulton.  She was born on June 24, 1896, in Czechoslovakia.

       

      She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church and also of the Union of Czech Catholic Women of Texas, KJZT Society No. 101.

       

      The Rev. Roy Riha (?) and the Rev. Robert Schmidt will officiate the services.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Moulton at 11 a.m. Saturday.  A prayer services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at McCabe-Carruth Funeral Home chapel.  A rosary for the KJZT Society will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

       

      Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Anton Le___ and Mrs. Richard Otto, both of Victoria, Mrs. William Blevins of Port Lavaca, and Mrs. Anton Otto of Inez; three sons, Edwin Stary, Vladik Stary and Jim Stary, all of Victoria; a sister, Mrs. Jim Pavalik of Shiner; 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

       

      Mrs. Stary was preceded in death by her husband, Matej Stary, who died in 1930, and her parents, Thomas Vavra and Anna Tousek Vavra.
