      HALLETTSVILLE – Mr. Joseph H. Fikac, 81,  of Shiner died Sunday morning in a Shiner hospital.

       

      Mr. Fikac, a farmer was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus of Shiner, the K.J.T. and the Legion of Mary.  He was born in Moulton Sept. 8, 1896.

       

      The body will lie in state at Kubena Funeral Home until 12:45 p.m. Monday.  Rosaries were read Sunday night and the K. J. T. will read a rosary at St. Mary’s Catholic Church _ _ p.m. Monday.  Funeral services will be at _ p.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church the Rev. Henry Psecik officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.

       

      He is survived by his wife Mrs. Joseph H. “Cecilia” Fikac; four sons, Leonard Fikac and Frank Fikac of New Braunfels, August Fikac of Shiner and Paul Fikac of Houston; five daughters, Mrs. Leon Sidonia Kleker, Mrs. Calvin Eleanor Schafer and Mrs. Gordon Mary Deloach all of Hallettsville, Mrs. Johnny Crita of Smithfield and Mrs. Milton Annie Wagner of Victoria; four sisters, Sister M. Dennis of Waco, Sister M. Mildred of San Antonio, Mrs. Julia Janak of Shiner, Mr. Kristine Svoboda of El Campo; 33 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
