      JEAN JACKSON

       

      VICTORIA - Jean Jackson, age 78, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013. She was born November 5, 1934 in Gonzales County to the late Louis and Hilda Gloor Zavadil.

       

      Jean loved the Lord and her church, First English Lutheran Church of Victoria. She participated in the Chancel Choir and was a member of the Lydia Circle. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her family and friends. Jean was an exceptionally giving, thoughtful and loving woman. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

       

      Jean is survived by her husband of 61 years, T. R. Jackson; daughter, Susan Kay Friedrichs and husband, William; son, Terry R. Jackson, all of Victoria; brother, John Zavadil and wife, Erline of Gonzales; and grandson, Thomas E. Jackson and wife Kelly of Corpus Christi.

       

      She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dennis Ray Zavadil.

       

      Visitation will be held 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, July 8, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home.The Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at First English Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jim Pearson officiating. Graveside services and burial will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Sons of Herman Cemetery in Gonzales, Texas.

       

      Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas E. Jackson, William Friedrichs, John Mark Zavadil, D. A. West, Raymond Pagel, and Brent Christian.

       

      Memorial contributions may be made to First English Lutheran Church.
