      Irene Rab Sablatura of El Campo died July 1, 2013 at the age of 76.

       

      She was born September 14, 1934 in Praha to the late Jim Albert Rab and Lillie Evelyn Schramek. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Sablatura Key and Lock. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Queen of Peace and the American Legion Auxiliary.

       

      She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Frank Paul Sablatura of El Campo; daughters Teresa Peters (Bobby Litton) of Lake Jackson, and Mary Jane Hobbs (Ronnie) of Wharton; son David Sablatura (Lori) of El Campo; grandchildren Jacqueline Padilla (Jorge) of Austin, Stephanie Cardona (Joe) of Friendswood, Joshua and Lindsey Sablatura of El Campo, Abbey, Jessica, and Austin Hobbs of Wharton; great-grandchildren Isabel and Samantha Padilla, and Jacob Cardona; sister Glinda Becker (Larry) of Port Lavaca; and brother Robert Rab (Candy) of Lake Jackson.

       

      She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Tony Peters, brothers Ervin, Daniel, Leo, James, Richard and Thomas Rab.

       

      Visitation will be 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm Thursday at Triska Funeral Home with an American Legion Auxiliary service at 5:50 pm, followed by a parish rosary. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Friday, July 5, 2013, at St. Philip Catholic Church with Rev. Albert Yankey officiating. Interment will follow at St. Procopius Catholic Cemetery in Louise.

       

      Pallbearers are Joe Cardona, Jorge Padilla, Frank Kacal, Leonard Sternadel, Mark Sablatura and David Spence.

       

      Memorial donations in memory of Irene Sablatura may be made to St. Philip Catholic School or St. Philip Catholic Church.
