obit: Frankie Panus Jr.
YOAKUM – Frankie Panus Jr., 45, of Yoakum, died Friday at 7 a.m. in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 11, 1934 in Lavaca County, he was a lifetime resident of Yoakum.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael O’Shaughnessy officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Rosary was recited Friday evening at Buffington Funeral Home chapel.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dolores Panus of Yoakum; a daughter, Debbie Panus of Yoakum; his mother, Mrs. Frank Panus Sr. of Shiner; a brother, Joe Panus of Shiner; four sisters, Mrs. Georgia Wenske and Mrs. Edith Hirsch of Shiner, Mrs. Elizabeth Brosh of Port Lavaca and Mrs. Mildred Chilek of Houston.
Pallbearers will be Adolph Chumchal, Vaclav Roznovsky, Robert Baros, Robert Stulka and Darrel Brosch.
