obit: Alexander John Maresh
God brought Alexander John Maresh home to rest on May 24, 2013 after a long illness.
The son of Emil Maresh and Katie Barina, Alex was a brave, kind and loving man , who came into our lives on March 27, 1930 in Cistern, Texas. He lived life the best he could with what he had and accepted the challenges of life as they came along putting one foot in front of the other, a step at a time. He was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the grand lodge of Sons of Hermann.
Alex leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Mary J. Maresh; children, Anna Meyer and husband, Dan S., Virginia Bezecny and husband, Danny, Daniel Maresh and wife, Laurel, Alexander Maresh, Jr. and wife, Sharron; grandchildren, Michael Meyer, Matthew Meyer, Alexander Maresh III, Chris Bezecny and wife, Dixie, Earl Maresh and wife, Alissa, Erica Maresh and Kasey Burke; great granddaughter, Valerie White; sister, Dorothy Lipinski; brothers, DJ Maresh
and Julius Maresh.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Chapel in Richmond. Interment will follow at West Gethsemane Gardens in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg.
Pallbearers will include Matthew Meyer, Daniel Maresh, Alex Maresh Jr, Alex Maresh III, Danny Bezecny and Chris Bezecny.
