      YOAKUM --  Alfonse Orsak, 60, of Houston, a former resident of the Yoakum area, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at his residence.

       

      A steel worker, Mr. Orsak was born Jan. 3, 1917, in Lavaca County.  He was a veteran of World War II.

       

      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Sweet Home with the Rev. Al Padalecki officiating.  Burial will be in Sweet Home Cemetery.

       

      A Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel.

       

      Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Orsak of Mississippi; two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Herman of Victoria and Mrs. Gloria Wunsch of New Braunfels; three sons, David, Wayne and John Orsak of Houston; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Adcock of Houston, Mrs. Angie Rose of Alvin, Mrs. Ethylene McKeever of El Paso and Mrs. Vera Hall of New Jersey; six brothers, Mike,  Victor, Stanley, Lodge and Daniel Orsak of Houston and Frank Orsak of California and seven grandchildren.
