obit: Agnes Caletka Adkins
PORT LAVACA – Mrs. Agnes Caletka Adkins, 52, of Port Lavaca, died at 2:20 p.m. Monday in a local hospital following a brief illness.
Mrs. Adkiins, an employee of General Telephone Co., was born July 3, 1926, in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lewis Petmecky officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeway Cemetery near Giddings at 4 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Otto Thyssen, J. E. Worsham, Monte Tucker, Dan Barber, Leo Childers and A. J. Drexler.
Surviving are her husband, W. K. Adkins of Port Lavaca; two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Chimene and Mrs. Judy Bell of Houston; two sons, Michael Adkins of Port Lavaca and Stephen Adkins of LaPorte; her mother, Mrs. Mary Jelinek Caletka of Victoria; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Patin of Victoria and Mrs. Millie Bass of Houston; two step-sisters; three brothers, Henry Calejka of Victoria, Fred Caletka of Houston and Charles Caletka of Alexandria, La.; a step-brother, and three grandchildren.
