Julia Ann Zbranek, 87, of Garwood, passed away on Sept. 15, 2012. She was born Oct. 13, 1924 in Colorado County to Frank and Emilia Bubela Kasmiersky. She married Ludwig Paul Zbranek on June 11, 1946. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Christian Mothers and KJZT.
She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Rucka and husband Michael; sons, Gary Zbranek and wife Madilyn and Billy Zbranek and wife Jamie; grandchildren, Zach Zbranek and wife Shari, Grady Zbranek and fiancé Jordan Hayes, Robyn Rucka Machac and husband Aaron, John Michael Rucka and wife Amanda, Brandy Zbranek Slater and husband Jeff, Dustin Zbranek and wife Christie and Garrett Zbranek and wife Jackie; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Kasmiersky and wife Anna Lou and Raymond Kasmiersky and wife Margaret; sisters, Clara Lobpries, Leona Swoboda and husband Bill, Mary Hoffman and husband Meth, Ernestine Schneider and husband Ed Lee, and Janie Mae Popp and husband Gus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ludwig Paul Zbranek; sister, Annie Socha; infant son, Stanley Zbranek; great-grandson, Max Kolbe Machac and brother-in-law, Howard Lobpries.
Visitation was 1-5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 at Triska Funeral Home and 6-8 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nada with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nada with Rev. Joseph Vrana and Rev. Robert Guerra officiating. Burial followed at the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Grady Zbranek, Zach Zbranek, Dustin Zbranek, Garrett Zbranek, John Michael Rucka and Jeff Slater.
