Margaret was born in Floresville, Texas, on February 17, 1943 to Harry Jauer and Mary Bordovsky Jauer. She was raised in Hobson and graduated from Falls City High School where she played trombone in the band. After high school she moved to San Antonio where she attended San Antonio College. In San Antonio she worked at Joske’s and then at Cudahy Foods. While working at Cudahy Foods she met Ron Borchers. They fell in love and were married on August 12, 1967 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in San Antonio.

In 1978 Margaret and Ron and their family moved to Fredericksburg. She and Ron were very active in Scouting and helped reestablish Pack 136 at Bethany Lutheran Church. At Bethany, Margaret was a member of the Praise Team. Margaret loved working with young people. In addition to Scouting activities, she frequently served as a substitute teacher. Margaret was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Memorials in her honor may be made to the Bethany Lutheran Church Building Fund or to the charity of one’s choice.
