obit: Aletha Mae Huber Nemec
Aletha Mae Huber Nemec passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the age of 92.
She was born on July 24, 1920. Her parents were Luke and Fannie Mae (Isom) Fields. Her mother died when she was an infant, so she and her brother, Lucious Fields, were raised by their grandparents.
On Aug. 3, 1935, she married Randolph Alfred (“Red”) Huber. Their son, Randolph Edward Huber, was born on May 3, 1936. Red Huber passed away Sept. 11, 1963.
On Aug. 16, 1969, she married Andrew Nemec, who died Feb. 2, 2002.
She loved spending time with her family. Her hobbies included gardening, ceramics and canning. She loved music and enjoyed playing the piano, organ, drums and accordion.
She is survived by her son, Randolph Huber and wife, Verlyn, of Taylor.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ricky Huber and wife, Kim, of Thorndale, Ronnie Huber and wife, Suzanne, of Taylor, and Roger Huber and wife, Melody, of Thorndale. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Stacey Huber, Blake Huber and wife, Alicia, Ammi Huber, Cole Huber, Cory Huber, Travis Huber and wife Tara, Jennie Vrabel, Jimmie Vrabel, Collin Huber and Bryce Huber. She is also survived by her great-great grandchildren, Dillion Cone, Ava Huber, Ashlynn Huber and Brynley Huber.
Family visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Matt Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at the Eddy Cemetery, Eddy.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Huber, Ronnie Huber, Roger Huber, Blake Huber, Travis Huber and Collin Huber.
