      Etheline Marie Zmolik Sylvester, age 67 of Ennis, passed away Friday, June 1, 2007 in Dallas.

       

      She was born on March 17, 1940 in Bardwell to Joseph Louis and Julia (Holy) Zmolik. Etheline was a 1958 graduate of St. John Catholic School. She married Wayne Sylvester on October 15, 1960 in Ennis. Etheline was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Golden Crusaders, KJZT, VFW Auxiliary, St John "Why Catholic" Group and treasurer with the St. John Altar Society. She managed Helping Hands for several years.

      Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Wayne; children, Joan Johnson and her husband Jeff, Sherry Vrana and her husband Robert, Sandra Mikula and her husband Andy, Wayne, Jr. and his wife Tina all of Ennis, and Carla Rhodes and her husband Troy of Waxahachie; fifteen grandchildren, Angela Minear, Dianna and Melisa Johnson, Mary, Robert, Jr., Nolan, and Grant Vrana; Andrew, Savannah, Brianna, and Corey Mikula; Wayne III "Trey", and Benjamin Sylvester; and Carleigh and Carsyn Rhodes; five brothers, Jerry Zmolik and his wife Patsy of Ennis, Jodie Zmolik and his wife Doris of Mesquite, Benny Zmolik and his wife Evelyn, Jimmy Zmolik and his wife Hazel, and Larry and his wife Henriette all of Ennis; two sisters, Geraldine Haskovec; Joan Nors and her husband James; sisters in law, Carolyn Zmolik, Betty Tiemeier, Pat Johnsen, Jo Leyes, and Sally Tilton; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends, Kathy Toth and Rose Marie Lane.

       

      Etheline was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Luke, brothers-in-law Edwin Haskovec, Wilbur Sylvester, and sister-in-law, Shirley Hoelzen.

      Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at St. John Catholic Church in Ennis, Texas. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.   Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday, June 4, 2007 with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. at St. John Catholic Church.

      In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Catholic School, St. Jude's Children Hospital or American Cancer Society.

      Arrangements are under the direction of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home, 800 S. Kaufman, Ennis, Texas. 972-878-2211.
