      Services for Wilbur Lee Yakesch will be 3:00 PM Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the funeral home, burial in the Lilac Cemetery with Garren Stroud officiating. Visitation, 1PM to 3PM Sunday at the funeral home.

      Lee was born March 20, 1941 in Salty to Albert F. and Marie (Todd) Yakesch. He was a 1959 graduate of Rockdale High School. He attended the University of Texas acquiring some college credits. On June 5, 1965, he and Linda Marie Baxter were married in Rockdale. To this union three sons were born.

      Lee was an automobile mechanic and later owned and operated L&L Motors in Rockdale. He loved to fish as a child, enjoyed dirt track racing, music, singing, playing guitar, and sports he especially was an avid Longhorn fan.

      Lee passed away Friday morning, October 17, 2008 in the Scott & White Hospital reaching the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harry L. Yakesch.

      Surviving are; His wife of 43 years, Linda Yakesch of Rockdale. 3 sons, Doug Yakesch and wife Jessie of Georgetown, Gary Lynn Yakesch of Ft. Worth and Russell Yakesch and wife Kathy of Gibralter, Michigan. Sister, Lois Fisher and husband Tom of Rockdale. 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
