Jake Christopher Dusak Sr.
HASKELL - Jake Christopher Dusak Sr., 71, died Wednesday in an Abilene
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bolivar Cemetery near
Sanger with the Rev. Owen Rushing officiating, directed by Holden-McCauley
Mr. Dusak was born in East Bernard and attended the Bernard Prairie School.
He served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kwajalein during World War II
and moved to Haskell in 1969. He worked as an operating engineer for Riley
Stoker Corp. for 35 years before retiring and helped build the West Texas
Utilities Power Plant at Paint Creek. He then worked in the barbecue
business in the Haskell area. He was a member of Local 178 Operating
Engineers for 45 years and Fraternity Order of the Eagles. He was a

Margie Ledbetter of Sanger and Nina Converse of Woodward, Okla.; one son,
Jake Dusak Jr. of Haskell; two brothers, Frank Dusak of Houston and Albert
Dusak of Wharton; three sisters, Sophie Hadjik of Rosenberg, Lucy Prazak of
Houston and Bertha Engleheart of East Bernard; five grandchildren; and five

The body will be at the funeral home until 1 p.m. today.
