      Funeral services for Debra Ann (Burns) Watson, 58, of Somerville are set for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Somerville with Rev. Corby Brizendine officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 10th at the funeral home. Mrs. Watson died Monday, April 8, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospice In-Patient Facility in Bryan surrounded by her loving family.

       

      Debra was born June 21, 1954, in East Bernard, Texas, the daughter of Floyd (Johnny) and Eleanor Frances (Dostal) Burns. She attended school in Eagle Lake until her senior year and then graduated from Rice Consolidated High School in Altair. She was married to Timothy Watson, the love of her life, on July 12, 1980 in Richmond, Texas. Debra was the kind of person who always thought of others before herself and someone who never met a stranger. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister and aunt. She is preceded in death by her parents.

       

      Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Tim Watson of Somerville; her sons and daughters-in-law, T.J. and Nikki Watson of Bryan and Ty and Crystal Watson of Chappell Hill; her brothers and sister-in-law, Mike Burns of Richmond and Tommy and Peggy Burns of Katy; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Kerry and Zina Watson of Somerville; grandchildren, Austin Miller of Bryan and Caitlin Miller of Bryan; along with numerous nieces and nephews and one great-niece and other relatives.

       

      Family members have requested that memorials be given to Hospice Brazos Valley, Inc., 502 West 26th Street, Bryan, TX 77803-9900.
