      Mrs. Nannette Vondra, age 69, of Lovelady, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2009 at her residence.

       

      Mrs. Vondra was born August 24, 1940 in Houston County, Texas and had lived in Lovelady most of her lifetime. She had worked as a care giver and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lovelady.

       

      Survivors include her son Joe Vondra and wife Jolee, of Lovelady; grandchildren Karson Money and Trent Thompson, both of Lovelady; sisters Nelda Moore and husband Buddy Broome, of Lovelady, Janet Robison, of Spring and Bonnie Savers and husband Donald, of Nixon; sisters-in-law Joyce Moore, of Lovelady, Mary Ann Lightsey and husband Mike, Jean Davenport, all of Crockett and Eva Vondra, of Lovelady; brothers-in-law Billy Millican, of Huntsville and Jimmy Vondra and wife Pat, of Crystal Beach; second husband James Gilmore, of Pennington; and his sons Darrell Gilmore and wife Beverly, of Latexo, Keith Gilmore and wife Patty, of Mont Belvieu and Renay Gilmore and wife Eddy, of Pennington; sisters-in-law LaJean Fredricksen and husband Fred, of The Woodlands, Pat Casper and husband Sherman, of Huntington, Jo Nell Smith and husband Roy, of Huntsville and Judy Hales and husband Micho, of Lufkin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many wonderful life long friends.

       

      Preceded in death by her first husband of 47 years, Joe Frank Vondra; parents Hollis O. and Eunice Moore; mother-in-law Annie Vondra Steffek; brothers Guy Gene Rains and Hollis Moore; brother-in-law Charlie Vondra; and sister-in-law Doris Vondra Millican.

       

      Funeral Services for Mrs. Nannette Vondra were held Sunday, October 11, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Lovelady with the Rev. Scott Matthews officiating. Interment followed in the Lovelady Antioch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lovelady Old Gym c/o Norma Dell Jones, 271 Noble Street, Lovelady, Texas 75851 or First Baptist Church Lovelady Building Fund, P. O.
