      Bryan, Texas, Nov. 1.-- Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic church for Mrs. Mary Vavra, 80, the Rev. J. B. Gleissner conducting the service.  Burial was made in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

       

      Mrs. Vavra was a native of Czechoslovakia, but came to the United States in 1873 and for forty years had been a resident of Brazos County. 

       

      She is survived by five sons and two daughters, Frank and Albert Vavra of Ennis, J. A. Vavra of Beaumont, R. A. and W. J. Vavra of Bryan, Mrs. E. J. Boriskie and Mrs. Anton Zak of Bryan.
