Edward E. Vrana Sr.
January 10, 1927 - March 7, 2009
Edward E. Vrana Sr- age 82 passed away Saturday at his home in Dayton.
He was born in Sheldon, Texas January 10, 1927 the son of the late Joe and Bessie Valla Vrana. Edward served as a private first class in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. A master mason for over fifty years he was a past member of the Sampson Lodge #231 of Crosby. Edward was the proud founder in 1973 of Double “E” Grinding Company that he owned and operated for numerous years in Pasadena, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a son Edward Earnest “Bo” Vrana Jr, and a loving companion Lucille Reynolds.
He leaves behind his children, Sandra June Wells and her husband Paul, Shirley Jean Shotwell, and Carol Annette Breen and her husband Ralph. A companion Patricia Viktorin, his sisters Stella Marsh and Rosa May Berry and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and family. Edward will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8pm at the Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St. Dayton. Funeral services will be held 10AM Tuesday at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Chapel of the Pines Cemetery.
