obit: Charles Lewis Vychopen
Funeral services for Charles lewis Vychopen, 49, of 6208 Shady Cliff, prominent building contractor and developer, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Vychopen died here Thursday evening.
A native of Houston, Vychopen moved here from Sherman Oaks, Calif., in 1957. He had operated his own contracting firm for several years, and was previously associated with Fox & Jacobs Construction Co. Inc. He was airport consultant with leigh Fisher & Associates and director of traffic for Slick Airways Inc. while in California.
Vychopen received his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and his masters' degree in business administration from the University of Maryland. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, and a member of the Lovers Lane United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene, president of the Dallas Council of Churches and an active worker in a number of charities, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vychopen.
