CHARLES JOSEPH KRAMETBAUER
SHINER - Charles Joseph Krametbauer, 90, of Shiner, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2012. Charles was born on December 12, 1921, the second of four children born to Charles Frank Krametbauer and Christine Anna Veselka Krametbauer of Moulton.
On July 18, 1944, Charles married Irene Zimmermann of Moulton. He was a member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner, an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Catholic Life Organization.
Charles retired from Kaspar Wire Works in Shiner on July 8, 1988, after 45 years of dedicated service. His work ethic, determination, and pleasing personality were evidence of the esteem in which he was held.
Charles is survived by his loving wife, Irene of 67 years; two daughters, Charlene Christ and husband Charles of Hallettsville, Claudia Tousek and companion Edward Leo of Austin; son-in-law, Ronnie Dierschke of Hallettsville; sister, Virginia Stluka of Shiner; grandson, Timothy Charles Janak and wife Carmen of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six granddaughters, Tammy Hastings of Selma, Rhonda Garcia of Austin, Rachel Dierschke of Pflugerville, Debra Wenske and husband Jeremy of Houston, Robin Francis and husband Joe of Selma, and Beth Tousek of Austin; ten great-grandchildren, Taylre Janak, Noelle Janak, Blake Janak, Huston Janak, Rory Brandow, Skyler Brandow, Andrew Garcia, Abbey Garcia, Ayden Hicks and Audrey Wenske; three step-great-grandchildren Alise Stone, Issabella Francis, and Joseph Francis.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Christine Krametbauer; daughter, Cynthia Dierschke; brother, Arnold Krametbauer; sister, Bessie Kurtz and a son-in-law, Blaise Janak.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home in Yoakum with a rosary to begin at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 9 a.m. at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with Rev. Tommy Chen officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiner Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Timothy Charles Janak, Blake Janak, Rory Brandow, Andrew Garcia, Jeremy Wenske, and Chris Conoley.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Stevens Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their special care and attention of Mr. Krametbauer and for the ongoing care of Mrs. Krametbauer.
