Andrew Harry McClure, 75, of Wharton, died Oct. 8, 2011. He was born Oct. 15, 1935 in Pierce to Oscar McClure Sr. and Clara Ustynik McClure. He was a longtime ranch foreman for W.A. Harrison.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Bercak McClure of Wharton; daughters, Nadine Price and husband Roger of El Campo and Kelli Bannert and husband Kevin of Boling; grandchildren, Heath McClure and wife Melissa, Cheyenne and Cody Price and John-Allan and Shelby Bock; great-granddaughter, Alexis McClure; sister, Margaret Kocurek of Katy; brothers, Oscar McClure Jr. of El Campo and Verner Ray McClure of Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Mark McClure and daughter, Valerie Lynne McClure.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 with a parish rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 at St. John’s Catholic Church in New Taiton with the Rev. Gabriel Oduro Tawiah officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Heath McClure, John-Allan Bock, Cody Price, David Petrosky Jr., C.D. Kalinowski and Robert Mink. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Hobbins, Linda Henderson, Cheyenne Price, Shelby Bock, Robbie Hamilton, Harold Schaefer, Lyle Burns, Leroy Bennetson, Melissa McClure, Trey Harrell and Alexis McClure.
Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Society, American Diabetes Association, Houston Hospice House or to the donor’s choice.
