obit: Rose Marie Marusak Trojacek
Rose Marie Trojacek, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Legend Oaks Rehabilitation Center of Ennis with her family by her side.
Rose was born in Waxahachie, Texas to Frank and Elizabeth (Blazek) Marusak on September 28, 1929. She grew up in Ennis and attended St. John High School. On February 11, 1947 she married Victor Trojacek and they made their home in Telico.
She was a full time mother and she worked with her husband on their land. She was a member of the St. John Catholic Church, KJZT #16, SPJST, Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW, Telico Volunteer Fire Department and the Golden Crusaders. She loved to garden, fish, quilt, cook and play bingo. She also enjoyed music and her fun trips to the casinos. Her family was always a priority with her; each and every one of them was loved by her in a special way.
She is survived by sons: Larry Trojacek and his wife, Elia of Houston, David Trojacek and his wife, Kathy of Ennis, Kenneth Trojacek of Ennis, Leon Trojacek and his wife, Lisa of Colleyville, Eric Trojacek and his wife, Paula of Ennis and Benny Trojacek and his wife, Laura of Ennis; daughters: Carolyn and her husband, John Joyner of Ennis and Lydia Hotop of Perryville, MO; twenty-eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; four brothers: Bill Marusak of Ennis, John Marusak of Arlington, Elick Marusak of Ennis and Gene Marusak of Bristol and seven sisters: Georgia Hejny of Ennis, Betty Slovak of Hutchins, Wilma Kapavik of Lancaster, Lillie Macalik of Mesquite, Margaret Martinek of Ennis, Geraldine Green of Hot Springs, AR and Frances Divin of Ennis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, one daughter, Rose Ann Saxon, one son, Victor Trojacek, one granddaughter, Ann Michelle Trojacek, one brother Frankie Marusak and one sister, Elaine Conner.
Visitation will be on Sunday. November 13, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis, with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Henry Drozd as celebrant. Her sons will serve as her pallbearers. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
