Marvin James Trlica, 83, of Spokane, Wash. died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2010.
Services are set for Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Marrs-Jones Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Smithville, Visitation will begin at noon and continue until service time.
The Rev. Jane Johnson of the First Presbyterian Church of Smithville will preside.
He was born in Smithville June 29, 1926, the son of William and Marie Mary (Sabrsula) Trlica. He was baptized in the Czech Moravian Bretheran Church in Kovar. In his youth, he attended the First Presbyterian Church in Smithville and the Smithville School system. He was a member of the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge.
Survivors include one daughter, Diana Lynn Khajavi and husband Homayoun of Pinole, Calif.; two granddaughters, Yasmin and husband and Maryann; one brother, William (Bill) Trlica and wife Marilyn of La Grange; two nieces, Merrilee Zedan and Ramona Tschaar and husband Alex; a great-nephew and his wife; a great-niece and her husband; two great-great-nephews; a very special friend, Jeanette King of Spokane, Wash. and cousins and friends.
Marrs-Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
