Upon graduation, she moved to California in pursuit of a dream in show business. She united with two other performers and joined a troupe who performed variety shows on stage. The troupe moved to the Panama Canal Zone where they performed shows. This is where she met and married her first husband Steve Rainey. After living there for 10 years, Steve was ready to move back to the States and be closer to his sister, Edna Corgey and mother, Elizabeth Rainey. He surprised Louise with the purchase and opening of Rainey’s Fountain and Drug Store in Pleasanton. Soon Louise found herself serving hamburgers and milkshakes to the local school kids. After Steve’s passing in 1960 she continued the business. She married Ferdinand Tudyk on her birthday, May 28,1966. Louise sold Rainey's two weeks before the birth of her first child and only daughter, Felice, in 1967. Her second child was the first of two boys, Louis, followed by Martin the next year. After the sudden death of Ferdinand in 1976, Louise maintained the family ranch, often referring to raising three little kids and a herd of cattle. Louise was a proud and loving grandmother of seven. In recent years she would call herself the Traveling Grandma as she would visit her children’s homes for extended stays where she enjoyed and engaged in their everyday lives. Louise will be missed by the many whose lives she touched.
