ALBINA B. JANECKA TUPA
GANADO-Albina Janecka Tupa, 93, of Ganado, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1917 in Dubina to Anna Muzny and Anton Janecka. Albina was a member of the Ganado Assumption Catholic Church and also a member of the Catholic Daughters.
Albina loved her flowers and her garden. She enjoyed quilting and made a quilt for each of her children and every grandchild and many, many more. She made the best chicken noodle soup ever and her and Popo's canned pickles were unbeatable.
Albina is survived by three sons: Bernard (Austin); Charles and wife, Sidney (Austin); Alton and wife, Sandy (Edna); daughter-in-law, Rose Tupa-Piegsa (Victoria). Nine grandchildren: Mike Tupa, Mark Tupa, Melinda Morris, Christopher Tupa, Matthew Tupa, Jeremy Tupa, Jessica Tupa, Stephen Tupa, Cory Jones and 15 great grandchildren.
Albina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe E. Tupa and son, Joe Tupa, Jr.; two brothers, Charlie Janecka and Ike Janecka; two sisters Annie Korenek and Polly Fowler.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 7th, at the Ganado Funeral Home from 5 - 8 p.m. with rosary starting at 7 p.m. Mass will be held at the Ganado Assumption Catholic Church on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Father Michael Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at the Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michel Tupa, Mark Tupa, Christopher Tupa, Matthew Tupa, Jeremy Tupa, Stephen Tupa and J.R. Morris. Honorary Pallbearers are the great grandchildren.
If any one so desires they may make donations to the Ganado Assumption Catholic Church.
