Obit: Willie Frank Praslicka (1924 - 2013)
- KELLER - Willie Frank Praslicka, 89, of Keller died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Keller. Interment: Bourland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at J.E. Foust Funeral Home.
Memorials: May be made to American Legion Veterans Memorial Chapel Fund in care of Linda Laws, 12588 Lewis Road, Cleveland, Texas 77328.
Willie was born Jan. 7, 1924, to Frank and Ella Praslicka in Fort Worth. He served our country for three years in active duty in World War II with the 11th Airborne, 674th Parachute Field Artillery Battalion, in the South Pacific and Philippines, earning three Bronze Stars and one Bronze Arrowhead. He was retired from the Federal Aviation Agency in 1988 after 31 years as an electronic technician. Willie was married for 60 years to his lovely bride, Margie Mae Andrews, who preceded him in death in 2003.
Willie was a devoted man who loved God and lived his faith. Over his lifetime he was an active member of local churches wherever he lived. He was a Baptist deacon and a Master Mason. Willie loved his family with all his heart and was an example to family, friends and community of all the best qualities a man could possess.
Survivors: Willie is survived by his children, Pamela Price of Fort Worth, Linda Laws of Cleveland, Texas, and Jack Praslicka of Fort Worth; his grandchildren, Stephanie Hanson, Ron Gooch, Stacey Webb, Clint Praslicka, Renee' Brands, Dorothy Ramos and Michael Praslicka; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Frank Praslicka of Keller; nieces; nephews; and friends.
