obit: Lisa Marie Plasek
Lisa Marie Plasek
Lisa Marie Plasek, 38 of Texas City, Texas passed away December 31, 2012 in Webster, Texas.
She was born March 10, 1974 in Texas City, Texas to Alvin Sr. and Elizabeth Plasek. Lisa was a lifelong resident of Texas City and attended St. Mary’s of the Miraculous Medal Church. Lisa received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2004. She was employed with College of The Mainland for 15 years.
Lisa was literally an angel on this earth that God lent to us for a while, to be the glue that held her close knit family together. She was and always will be an inspiration to her colleagues. A loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Lisa was George Michael’s biggest fan, an adventurer at heart whose bags were packed, ready for the next road trip. Lisa was a Pastry Chef in training often baking her culinary delights for friends and family. There were no bigger fans of Lisa than her nieces and nephews. Even though her life was short it was filled with joy and an incredible amount of love that she shared with everyone. The world has lost one amazing sister, daughter, aunt, and human being. Our hearts are aching for you Lisa.
We are comforted by the poem below:
If tears could build a stairway
and thoughts a memory lane
I'd walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again.
No Farewell words were spoken
No time to say good-bye
You were gone before I knew it
And only God knows why.
My heart's still active in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one can ever know.
But now I know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store.
Since you'll never be forgotten
I pledge to you today
A hallowed place within my heart
Is where you'll always stay.
Lisa is preceded in death by her father Alvin Plasek Sr.
Lisa leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Elizabeth Plasek of Texas City; sister Railyn Burke and her husband Richard; brothers Alvin Plasek Jr. and Robert Plasek; nieces and nephews Kamden Burke, Kaitlyn Burke, Conrad Plasek, Madalyn Plasek and Kadence Plasek.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Miraculous Medal Church, 1604 9th Avenue North Texas City, Texas 77590 at (time) with Father Tom Ponzini officiating. Graveside services will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.
