obit: Louis Charles Skrivanek
Louis Charles Skrivanek, age 61 of Brookshire, passed away in MD Anderson Hospital, Houston on January 24, 1968. He had been in ill health since October and in the hospital for three weeks, where the family had kept constant vigil.
Mr. Skrivanek was born and reared in Austin County; the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Skrivanek. In October 1936 he was married to Emily Dziadek. Mr. Skrivanek was a member of the Czech Brethren Moravia Church. He was a farmer who had lived with his family in Brookshire for 8 years.
Funeral services were held in Sealy at 2:00 p.m. from P.E. Etlinger Funeral Home. Interment followed at San Felipe Cemetery.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Emily Skrivanek of Brookshire; 5 daughters, Leona Simonds of Houston, Martha Goebel of Sealy, Frances Pinkley of Tennessee, Virginia and Patsy Skrivanek of Brookshire; 3 sons, Leon, Calvin and Charles skrivanek of Brookshire; 7 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Bill Dziadek; 3 brothers, John, Joe, and Emil Skrivanek.
Pallbearers were nephews: Charles, Robert, Rudolph, William and Ladis Skrivanek, and Johnny Klanika.
