obit: John Stuchlik
Ennis, Tex., April 22.-- A Bohemian about 35 years of age was found hanging to a tree just south of the city at 10 o'clock this afternoon. Justice of the Peace Carter viewed the body and pronounced it a case of suicide.
The dead man was still warm when the officers reached him. It is stated that he pulled off a belt which he had been wearing, tied it around his neck and to the limb of a tree, and then drew his feet up, causing death by strangulation.
The dead man remained unidentified until 3:30 o'clock, when his body was brought to a local undertaking establishment and viewed by a number of Bohemians, one of whom, Frank Abeliga Jr., stated that the dead man was John Stuchlik, that he was 35 years of age and that he has a sister residing near Ennis. He was unmarried.
