      September 14, 1946 - December 29, 2012

       

      Funeral services for Sharon Heller, 66, of Lexington, Texas, are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington with Father Anthony Alphonse officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 7 a.m. until 8 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present for visitation Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

       

      Mrs. Heller passed away the evening of Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the Christopher House in Austin following a battle with cancer.

       

      Sharon Ann Holub Heller was born on September 14, 1946 in Schulenberg, Texas to Jerome & Alma (Naiser) Holub. She attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Schulenberg and following her graduation from Bishop Forest High School in Schulenberg, she attended Sacred Heart Dominican College in Houston. Sharon was united in marriage to Charles Heller on November 27, 1966 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenberg. Charles preceded her in death on September 25, 2012 after 45 years of marriage. She, along with her family, own and operate the Lexington Livestock Commission. Sharon was a founding member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington where she served as the administrative assistant and was an active member who held many positions and was always assisting in its many activities. She was also a member and served on the Board of Directors of the Seton Development Board's Associate Group in Lexington. Sharon enjoyed playing cards, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

       

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Alma Holub; her husband, Charles Heller and her son, Scott Holub Heller.

       

      Sharon is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-laws, Russell and Shannon Heller of Lexington and Steven and Christine Heller of Lexington; four grandchildren, Henry Heller, Caroline Heller, Aubrey Heller and Ethan Heller all of Lexington; her brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Clara Holub of Katy and their daughters, Stacy Holub and her fiancée, Scott Hunt, of Houston, Tiffany and Brian Hinkel of Houston and Lindy and Andy Young of Richmond. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.

       

      Memorials may be made to the Holy Family Catholic Church Activity Center Fund, P.O. Box 541, Lexington, Texas 78947-0541 or to the charity of one's choice.
