obit: William Ray Jancha, Sr.
William Ray Jancha, Sr. 75 years old born Aug. 27th 1937 passed away Dec. 23, 2012 due to an unexpected illness (peripheral T-cell lymphoma).
In his earlier years, he was raised on a family farm in South Texas and put himself through college at Texas A & I by selling livestock. He then, served in the U.S. Army before marrying Lila May (Mickie) Arnold in 1963. He eventually fathered five children, three "step children" and two of his own, before beginning his career in human resources at Lockheed Martin Corporation. After he retired from the Lockheed Martin Corporation and the death of his wife, he attained his real estate license but, decided to enjoy the retirement life. He was a dedicated father whom loved his children and wife dearly. He had a passion for nature, gardening, hunting, fishing, etc. He also, loved his grandchildren. They brought him much joy in life. He later met a wonderful woman named Alice Ewald whom he spent many hours upon the dance floor. They would dance in excess of three nights a week and traveled extensively in their camper. He was a devoted member of the Buda Methodist Church.
He is survived by his "friend" Alice, "step-children" Randy, Tim, Karen and his two sons William jr. and David. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The funeral will be on Saturday Dec. 29, 2012 at Harrell's Funeral Home in Kyle, Tx at 1 pm. Visitation is on Friday Dec. 28, 2012 from 6-8 pm at the same location.
