obit: Julies Svetlik
Julies Svetlik, 80, of Angleton, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010.
He was born January 7, 1930 to Frank J. Svetlik and Mary A. Broze, in Marak, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sons, John Svetlik and wife, Melody, and Jerry Svetlik and wife, Cynthia; brothers, Frank Svetlik, of Angleton, and Melvin Svetlik, of Brazoria, Texas; grandchildren, Kevin, Sam, and Max Svetlik; and great grandchild, Eden.
Julies served his country in the Army during the Korean conflict. He had lived in the Angleton area since 1936, and worked as a Boilermaker for Heat Tran Equipment of Houston, Texas. Julies loved raising goats and working on small engines and water wells for friends and family. He was a kind, helpful man who always put his family and friends before himself. He will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be at the Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Brazoria cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Palms.
