obit: Joseph S. "Joe" Sodolak Jr.
JOSEPH S. SODOLAK, JR. was born on December 30, 1942, in Sealy, Texas, to Joseph and Ludmilla Sodolak. He was employed by Wyman-Gordon for over forty years. Joe was a Vietnam War veteran, a member of the KJT and the Knights of Columbus. Joe passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at the age of 67 years.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Marilyn Sodolak of East Bernard, Texas; children; Kristen Shill of Boerne and spouse Bradley, Matthew Sodolak of Fulshear and spouse Tiffany, Chad Sodolak of Vidor and spouse Latisha, and Holly Sodolak of Austin; as well as 8 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Connor and Alexandra Shill, Skylar and Dashel Sodolak, and Luke, Noah and Lily Sodolak.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ludmilla Sodolak and his sister Margaret.
The family will receive friends from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held immediately following at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Frydek, Texas. Pallbearers are Justin, Shannon, Nathan Eschenburg and Gene Eschenburg,Jr., Chris Sands and Dean Sands, III. Honorary Pallbearers are co-workers at Wyman-Gordon, Willie Jez, Wilbert Saha, Pete Zapalac, Clem Zapalac and Edwin Janik.
